Dr. Peter Slavin’s Keynote Speech from the 126th Annual Meeting of the AAMC

Dr. Peter Slavin, MD, President of Massachusetts General Hospital, delivered a keynote address “Toward a More Just Society and Health Care System: The Role of Academic Medical Centers” at the 126th annual meeting of the AAMC in Baltimore, MD. For the past year, Dr. Slavin has served as chairman of AAMC and his term recently came to an end. In his farewell address, Dr. Slavin highlights MGH’s efforts to reduce healthcare disparities and urged teaching hospitals and medical schools to discuss and address issues of racial bias and healthcare inequality.
